I'm sorry I haven't been updating at all, due to many reasons, mainly because I'm still working on the new blog, but since I need to refurbish Gefang's websites (emphasis on the S), I haven't had time to finish my new blog's programming.

I've been busy working on my new blog (or i should say new site) that I'm going bonkers. But of course, it should be ready really soon! (i hope, if i don't procrastinate that is)! hahahas..

Well, this sunday is the FINALS of the Dynamic Duo Talentime so if you're free, do come down to Chinatown Point to support me and my fren (we're a team, called Gefang!)

I know my blog's relatively dead haha! Well I'm currently working on a new site of my own that needs time to develop and I've been really cropped up with many other things as well!

That's the reason why my blog has been like empty for the past few months!

I will be competing at the Talentime competition organised by Radio 100.3 as well on the 14th of December 2008 at Chinatown Point at around 1plus! Voting takes up 40% and this is the semi-finals of the competition! (what's more, is that Voting is Free!!)

Coffee Bean

I was reading the newspapers and I came across this article that I found really interesting.
It's titled Live your life as a coffee bean would by Geoff Tan.

And there was this story that was told to him by a collegaue:

"It was about a young woman who went to her mother and told her how hard her life was and that she wasn't sure if she was going to make it through. She was tired of struggling and was on the verge of giving up.

Her mother took her to the kitchen,
filled three pots with water
and placed each on a high flame.

She then placed carrots into the first,
eggs into the second
and ground coffee beans in the third.

After twenty minutes of silence
and just watching the contents boil,
she turned off the burners.

She fished the carrots and eggs out and placed them into separate bowls.
She then ladled the coffee into a large mug.

The mother handed the first bowl to her daughter
and asked her to feel the carrots.
She did and noted they were soft.

The mother then asked her daughter to take an egg and break it.
She did and, after peeling off the shell,
handed her mother a hard-boiled egg.

Finally, the mother then asked her to sip the coffee.
The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich flavour and then asked:
"What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects
had undergone the same "trial" -
being boiled in water.

Each reacted differently.
The carrot went in strong, hard and relenting,
but came out softened and weak.

The fragile egg, with its liquid interior,
became hardened after the ordeal.

The ground coffee beans, however, were unique.
After they were steeped in the boiling water,
they started to change the consistency of the liquid.

She then went on to ask her daughter:
"When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond?
Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?"

You may want to ponder these questions:
Am I the carrot that seems strong,
but who, with pain and affliction,
wilts, becomes soft and loses my strength?

Or am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart and a fluid spirit,
but after a death, break-up or a financial crisis,
becomes somewhat hardened?

Or am I like the coffee bean?
The bean that actually changes the boiling water,
the very circumstances that bring it pain.
It releases its fragrant aroma and flavour
within those adverse conditions.

If you are like the bean, then when things are at their worst,
you get better and change the situation around you.
When the hour is at its darkest,
you elevate yourself positively to a whole new level."

So to quote Geoff Tan, 'Go forth and live life like a coffee bean!'

Just managed to complete a major production in 2008, Change! '08
and to all who went for the event, i hope you had enjoyed it x))

Change! '08 would not have been possible if not for all the performers as well as my management crew working hard for the past 6 months and it indeed has been a great burden to many.

I sort of should start blogging again, so well, i'll try to keep up the routine x)

Firstly, since it's lunch time and i have access to an internet computer, i'll be able to blog!
just in case ppl ask how come i can blog and everything hahas.

Well.. work is mundane as usual and I can't wait to settle all the concert stuff soon!
We've got so much to do! Like meeting up with sponsors and stuff
Also have to do up designs for the concert etc. woo~ so many things
tedious and tiring and taxing but all worth it x)

well to all my juniors (including gefang juniors, grand-juniors and change juniors)
let's put up a good performance this may okays!
it's definitely necessary to prove that even students can stage something remarkable
and i hope my efforts for GeFang will not go to waste as well hahas
so Jiayou!

i wish to rant about how unfair the army is.
but i guess everyone rants about that.
so i guess i'll let it pass and let things fall into place as they should be. x)

the month of march.
so many things happening. i also dunno where to start.

firstly, the most important would be that The Changing Point Season 2 is officially out!
So do go to www.thechangingpoint.blogspot.com to watch the show and support this series x)

secondly, change! 2008 is officially in the progress of preparation
and this year it's gonna be bigger, more exciting involving many more people
and the programme that is lined up would be extremely entertaining
and it's all for a good cause:
to raise funds for the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES).

lastly, i would like to emphasise i have extremely crazy juniors. ha
so if today (if you saw something phenomenally scary - i shall apologise for it!)
hahas.
i know we should have behaved ourselves
so we're sorry if we caused any trouble for anyone
but i'm happy that Gefang is progressing very well
with alot of new talent x)

A Levels . Xing Guang . Change

Once again, it's been really long since i last blogged.
And i presume it's time for me to blog again.
This time, i shall focus my post on 3 main things that are happening in my life!

First up: A Levels Results
Yeap, my results are going to come out this friday! (which is tomorrow)
and i'm extremely nervous about not being able to get good results!
personally, i think i've put in alot of effort for the examination (who doesn't think so)
haha but whether i'll reap what i sow is another story.
all in all, i just hope that tomorrow will be a good day for me x)

Next: Xing Guang 3
Yeapps, it's been confirmed.
I won't be going to Taiwan for the competition anymore.
Mainly cos MINDEF does not allow disruption for singing competitions as such.
so much for wanting to create a Hub for Music and the Arts in Singapore and everything.
well, nothing much to comment about it
just that i will work hard in this two years while i'm serving NS
to improve myself and learn new things
so that in 2 years, everyone can see a new Zhiyang.

Hellos everyone!
Welcome to year 2008!!
hahas i know i've been missing in action for many things
especially not blogging hahas

it's just cos i've been really busy doing lots of stuff
for example going to taiwan to watch A*Mei LIVE in Concert
and learning new stuff to constantly upgrade myself

all in all, 2007 has been a fruitful year
in terms of relationships, studies and many other accomplishments

Hello everyone!

It's been really really long since I last blogged!
No worries i'm not gone for good! Not just yet.

So well, here's a simple update on what i've been doing
actually to say the truth, there's nothing much but studying! hahas.
my prelims just ended last thursday so yeapps

heaps and heaps of revision schedules coming up!
and i wont' be blogging much again until after A levels
cos i'll need to concentrate and concentrate on my studies.

but before that i'll have a good decent post on certain important issues.
Firstly, if you havent caught the movie Hairspray
you'd better!! x) it's a great movie with superb songs!
Hairspray is adapted from the Broadway Musical and it's seriously a great hit!

Great show! so please watch it x)

Secondly, my life currently revolves around everything with links to the number 7
hahas. no particular reason (oh ya durh of course there is, just i'm not gonna say)
well! so to start talking bout my craze over the number 7,
i'll just list 7 most important people of my life!

1. My Parents (ok i know i'm cheating, it's supposed to be 2 but who cares!)

I love them for have taken such good care of me for like the past (almost) 18 years
and without them, i wouldn't have accomplished so many things!

If they didn't encourage me in my studies,
i wouldn't have been able to achieve great results for the past years

If they didn't encourage me in my art,
i wouldn't have been able to maintain my passion in art and drawing

If they didn't encourage me in my singing,
i wouldn't have been able to win the competition in Campus Superstar

If they weren't around,
i dunno what i'd do! so i really really love them for being there for me
every hour, every minute, every second of the day.

2. My Cousin, Rebecca

She's been a great cousin, great helper (especially during my CSS days)

but 99.999% already!

If she hadn't said i'd be famous one day,

she's as rubbish as i am! and we look alike xD

even the student lounge uncle mistakes her for my sis hurhur
(and yea yea her teammates keeps claiming she's cuter)
hahahas! biasness!

great.

but well, spending almost close to 2 years in JC with her around!
life's never boring x) and even when i'm like super sad and moody in school
she never fails to make me happier x)
she's like the cherry on the cake. you know.. analogy. ok fine.
hahas not quite there.

but heys! she's like the best girlfriend who's not your girlfriend you can find can!
hahas! fun fun fun! like totally.
we talk about all sorts of crap together too! (cos like i said she's rubbish too)

oh don't start recalling the very first day when we went out
it was horrible (yes and i looked like a hamster)

adorable and i always wanted to know twins and have twins for babies or smth
oh well here's one! (erm not the baby part, just the knowing twins part)

great singer, great gossiper, great everything!
sleeps late so if i end up meeting into trouble HEY YOU SHEENA
dat's you! hahas
still remember the time i called her late like 3am
cos i was so upset bout smth
she was like so shocked ahahas

and we went famine camp together
and had like loads of fun (gossipping mainly hahaha)
woo~ can't wait for more years to come

Hi All,

I'm so very sorry dat i've not been blogging
but an inevitable truth is dat prelims is round the corner!

My Block Test results were fine
and saw tremendous improvements
as a result of my hardworking-ness x))
Top in my class for 2 subjects, so not bad la x) haha

In anyway, i think i'll be taking a break

Oh Gosh!

I seriously dunno how i managed to seriously mug so much lately.
hahas. gearing up for A levels i guess.
and also to catch up with all the stuff dat i missed due to the concert
bleahs.

anyways! tomorrow's last paper!
and today i went back coffee bean to study again hurhur.
i seriously think the staff there is sick of seeing me le hahas!
but yupp. finished whole of Waves and Quantum

productivity wasn't very good cos Yiyuan came down
no la not to disturb me hahas
gave him tuition for chemistry
hahas. i shan't comment on how his standard was lols
well, i'll try my best to help him bahs x)
given the limited time I have and he has

oh well. after that met my long-distance cousin
seriously long distance i think hahas (and tall too)
for dinner at swensens.
so expensive can!
i'm seriously seriously seriously not gonna eat restaurants so often anymore.

the gst is a freaking 7% people!
look closely not a F-I-V-E but a S-E-V-E-N it's like one letter more even!
gosh. the bill for two people came to a freaking close to $50
which in the end cos i paid with cash cos i was lazy to stand up
and walk to the counter
so like i was left with fifteen cents.

and then the ATM machine could not dispense money

It's when you go out and enjoy yourself x)
sadly. that's so not the case for me
at least in the morning la ahha

went to coffee bean to study as usual
for physics. oh so horrible physics.
then finished the whole chapter of temperature
yays! i feel so accomplished
doing like 50 plus structured and long questions altogether
to practice for paper 3 mahs haha

luckily after 3pm was another story!
hahas. went out with sheena to catch transformers!!!

Typed this really long post and decided it's okays. i think i shall post something like that another time instead. but all in all, Get High! Concert '07 is successfully completed. An accomplishment that would not be possible without the help of all the performers, backstage workers and members of Gefang.

Really happy to have been given this opportunity to work on this project on this scale.

Can still remember on the concert day itself my head was spinning non-stop. 'what if this was gonna go wrong', 'have they taken into consideration this and that', and everything.

Really happy that my friends and fans came to support me! x) your immense love is appreciated hahas.

After reading Liting's post bout some short Get High! thingy i think i shall post up some of my thoughts x) some of my thoughts that i ought to have blogged about long ago. yups!

Actually why i'm blogging this post is also cos the new Gefang ExCo has thoughts of scraping Get High! next year. (obviously i'm sad) but wad to do?

We still dunno wad it'll be yet but.. well here goes.. After all, I've not really been blogging for really long.

Liting, my fellow performing j2 hwachongian in Get High! Actually had so many encounters - good and bad together after like so long, she's really jus great. I'm also really really impressed with her being able to juggle C Dance, Homework together with Get High! Liting Jiayou!!

Khim, fellow Campus Superstar-ian! known her for really long too! as long as i have known liting! Really really sweet and well she's growing up real fast! Maturing in thought real fast too! Also very very grateful that she's willing to take out time to join Get High! '07 after i asked her if she would be able to, even though she has to juggle her hectic schoolwork! Thanks loads buddy!

Vivian, can still remember her coming into the Gefang Auditions Room as a really scared pretty girl dat liting kept stressing was her junior hahas. Look how she matured on stage, slowly letting go of the stage fright that she used to have, improving day after day. Also impressed at how beautiful she can look with make up and even without makeup! Hope you'll enjoy yourself in HwaChong even after Get High!

Tania, such a talented girl that i've ever met. My first impression of her when she stepped into Gefang Auditions was that she had such powerful vocals that with training, she can improve leaps and bounds! She's striving towards the target of surpassing me le hahas! and jiayou! Also, hope that she will reach her dream of becoming a great designer! Go! Go! Go!

Brian, haven't known him for very long -- only since Fireflies days, but great guy with loads of jokes to crack hahas. really fun having him around ever since Let it Shine! super on and super smart! sure can go into some really good JC and get some scholarship next time der hahas. Jealous that he plays soccer so well when i can't even kick the ball properly hahas. He's available so girls out there, you all can go jio him hahas!

Marc, known him as "Sijia's Senior" like ever since the auditions cos sijia was like Oh! thats' my senior after i mentioned him (cos he's the first guy i auditioned after i came back from my auditions) hahas. really thick vocals and really funny guy. easy going and has uses so many cheem english words! if only my english was as powerful as his. gosh. well, good luck at being able to blog like xiaxue hahas!

Wei Chi, twin big brother! hahas. seem to always see him around in school and like never-ending to see him hahas. it's like woahh there u are again! heh. really good at breakdance and all and i'm of course once again jealous -- cos he can dance hahas. and i really totally suck at it hahas. hope he next time teaches me hahas! nice guy to talk to and nice guy to hang out with too! great junior to have! x)

Wei Ming, twin small brother! heh! sorry to have sorta left you out! but u seriously are a great dancer and choreographer! i'm like totally jealous of weiming and weichi. not jus cos their twins (and not jus cos i wan twins for children) hahas but cos they are so pro and it's both of them who are damn pro not just one x) hahas! hopefully he'll enjoy himself even more after Get High! x)

Esther, another j2 in Get High! wee! it's so difficult to really find a j2 in get high u know hahas. there are just so few!! really very fun having her around and everytime we go to orchard we'll end up taking the same bus home hahaha! love sharing thoughts with her, cos of the way she thinks about stuff bahs hahas. i know she loves watching chinese drama serials wahaha! i'm so gonna kope stuff from her to watch soon (when i'm free >.<)

Sijia, fellow firefly!! my 'brother' in Let it Shine hahas and well my mini-couple in the concert cos we're singing a duet together. hehe. she always look so fierce singing to me la. fine la i noe i'm not attractive but u don't have to do that you know bleahh. but anyways! she's great to have around and tho she's busy with band, really really happy that she takes her time out to come for Get High! too! x))

Grace, the little chilli-padi! hahas so many things to talk about! she's really really adorable la actually hahas and always tries her best to turn up for practices as soon as possible to improve! really think that she'll go very far with dancing cos she's totally good at it (unlike me durh) hahas. singing's improving day by day especially with the non-fluctuations and it's great seeing her maturing on stage! jiayou!

JiaHui, also remember her from the auditions as a girl with good vocals! Always very helpful and thanks for helping with all the food and stuff especially when we order from Mac or KFC hahas. Really sweet and hardworking in improving her singing and dancing! Really hope you'll shine brightly on stage!

Camilia, the sunshine gal in Get High! too bad she injured her legs and can't come for practices lately! >.< we all miss you okays! must faster get well soon and come back. Another girl with powerhouse vocals and really can improve alot and achieve a very high standard in singing der! anyways, all of us are waiting for her to come back into get high to join us! x)

Alejandro, ahh!! fellow campus-ian too!! so grateful that he takes time out from his schoolwork and everything to turn up for practices! it's been really tough for him and i'm so so sorry about it! but really really happy that he is willing to come for the practices and be part of the concert! he's been really supportive of me during my CSS days and i'm really happy that we're still part of this production together! x) cheers!

Guanchiang, the ai-mei junior! with eyes so small that they're gonna poof and disappear really soon! hahas. everyone thinks he's really childish, well most ppl and some even think he's jus rubbish but hey! he thinks deep too okays! hahas. and he's really great to have around being cheery and all most of the time x) his smile very nice la hahas so yang guang hahas! known him from liting and till now still very committed to gefang. do a good job in the exco kays!

Haidong, the guy who likes to keep frowning when he sings hahas. but alright la, he got rid of the habit ler! he's really really a great guy that thinks really deep and although he's very conservative, he's actually very fun too! if you get to know him well la that is! of course must give him chance to let us get to know him right? hahas. doesn't really know Singapore well but hopefully one day can bring him like go around Sg see see x) hehe

JianKai, guitarist! he improved chao duo! like super lots! really really dedicated to get high and i'm really proud that he's improving loads ahahas x) hopefully on the concert day itself, he'll be like super zai and everyone will be like woaaahh hahas.

Must really thank him for taking care of the band for me and co-ordinating everything there. if it's not for him, i would need to do even more stuff haahs and i seriously would totally die hahas. so thanks thanks thanks! 4 years of friendship liaos hehe, hopefully can continue to be longer x)

and there are still so so so many ppl involved in the concert that i wanna blog about.. but i shall jus stop here. x) i have physics SPA tmr so better study hehs.

And once again to all performers, although i always have to holler at you guys and be strict about punctuality and standards of performances, still really really hope all of you enjoy yourself! everyone's putting in super loads of effort and hopefully these efforts won't go to waste and let the results show on 1st june!

sorry for not blogging for so long!

and after reading liting's post on gefang -- our Chinese Pop Society in Hwachong, i shall post some of my very thoughts about this CCA that i am in and that i treasure alot x)

gefang '06
indeed last year, when we had no A levels to worry about and the CCA was an ad-hoc one, people who were truly passionate about singing just had to come in groups and we would carry out our practices.

really liked the feeling of being a mini-teacher hahas and well, it's a really great sense of satisfaction to see each of my peers improving too! and actually i think over the whole course of practice last year, i thought liting really improved alot and i think it's a good thing lars x) yup

still can remember last year's teachers' day celebration everyone put in so much effort to try to make the performance a success!

but then this year, upon the immense pressure of the A levels it's so pressurising. gosh. unlike liting, although it's not just pure fun anymore, i feel that our CCA is growing and maturing and trying to become more structural so that everyone can play a part in our CCA.

also can remember end of last year, we started to develop the idea yibing and liting proposed to us -- [ a concert ] to showcase singing talents. all of us tried to be really involved and all in this event. And then came orientation where all of us put in effort to try to get good juniors. x) all in all, gefang, moving into 2007 was great fun.

especially with people like
frederick, whom i have known for like 6 years already. ahhas for being a towering low tone guy, fun and entertaining and very nice to be frens with;
yibing, for the constant niao-ing altho it's redundant but a very efficient person and very fun to bicker with x);

liting, for being a great friend and the one who is so passionate about gefang that showed so much improvement;
qiwen, the one who is so funny dat i really like to niao x) but is totally okay with it ahhas;
renyi, although super busy and super clever, would also try to come for practices and perform when there is a chance

ruihong, yay we watch bleach! so nice right!! and it also feels great to see his improvement in singing;
hongfei, for having his strong urge to perform shared on stage;

liru, for always being very on-task and try to work hard for the CCA;
cheehow, for being really efficient and funny too x);
jingting and kiahui, for their utmost contributions to gefang;
shinchiann and kaiying, for always being so co-operative;
wangye and yiwen, to have been part of so many performances and being so cooperative too.

gefang '07
moving into a new structure where gefang was no longer ad-hoc for the members, more focussed training was carried out and all our members strive to work harder towards our passion for singing.

although not all the juniors were co-operative, it makes us very happy when we see people who would really want to commit and contribute more to the CCA.

through multiple practice sessions to try to teach the juniors what singing should be about and how a performance should be carried out, we all realise the different personalities of each of the juniors.

especially in preparation for the school's Chinese New Year Celebration, and the Celebration at the Red Cross Home for the Disabled, hopefully each of us learnt much in the process. and also during the auditions for the concert.

we realise there were fun juniors, talkative juniors, shuang-kuai juniors, irritating juniors, passionate juniors -- so many interesting things bout the juniors.

gefang has been really fun with these new intakes. and i hope this fun will not end x) ahahs

talking bout fun, there was concert practice yesterday and it was great! everyone was up to a certain standard and i think it'll be real fun to continue to work with them x)

after practice, went out for lunch.
played some really funny games that hahas alot of people didn't get x) really fun confusing them hahas.. and qin nee is seriously. super. duper. weird hahahahaha! funny la actually x) [inside joke]
then, met xinyi and went to NUS Open House.

after that, went out with guanchiang, qin nee, weichi and weiming yesterday to PS and Cathay hahas. it's so hilarious actually. we went to watch the Haunted School and oh my gosh. the reaction of guanchiang in the cinema made me laugh the whole night when i came back.

the show's actually quite nice. i like the plot, but then not as scary as i thought it would be. ahahs. guan chiang was scared out of his wits. gosh. he was totally squirming in his seat with his bag over his face ha!

well, during dinner, everyone started telling really freaky ghost stories and qin nee actually has all sort of frens! like frens who were ex-convicts, frens who died, and she even told me that 7 of her frens died last year. oh my god. then after exchanging more stories, i realised i live in a great family with no family problems! i'm happy and contented x)

we went back at 9pm i guess and on the bus, got to noe more bout qin nee, she's funny [in the sense because she's not funny, that's why she's funny] you know. warped logic x) hahas. and she's influencial!! omg. all of us after hanging out with her for a day, became so 'leng3' -- the not funny kind of cold.. hahas

oh wells, ahhas gefang was fun, is fun and will continue to be fun! i hope x)

working myself so hard for the upcoming concert hahas x) hope it'll be a success!

life in gefang is great now, especially with people like:
guanchiang, the kiddo that seems to know everyone in school hur. he's weird and uber timid! bring him to the cinema and tell him that u're watching a romantic show, but smuggle him into a horror movie, i bet he'll die screaming hahahas
qin nee, not funny but hey that makes her funny! she thinks like even more than a GEP-person la. must try to check out her brain. will have new scientific discoveries! haahs
shuwen, really efficient and helped me out by teaching me bits and pieces of some playing styles! hahas.. really hope to have more opportunities to work together!

tania, wow she's really crappy but hahas very funny too. she's really really loud yes i noe hahas
yinyue, she's not in hwachong already! oh no! but heys we'll not forget you okays!!
haidong, ha! super slacky guy but not bad lar, quite hardworking when it comes to trying to improve in his singing
shaopu, zhang xin zhe-y voice ahahs really kewl! hope his eyes get better (got hit by a shuttlecock lols!)
weichi and weiming, gosh -- twins that look so alike (DURH! they're twins) hahas. super funny duo and if the action of ponning gefang is stopped, you guys de singing would improve lor! hahas

grace, for being so cheery and open to advice and being so bubbly!
vivian, she has so many warped ideas of ponning gefang! jus come for practice la hahas. it's fun!
angeline, for having so many secrets to share hahahas x) and funny to have to bump into her everywhere around school lols
siying, thanks for the pictures! wow u're really fast x) will ask u to help do more stuff next time ahahs

To everyone out there!! Happy Chinese New Year!!

Just came back from the lunar new year show, quite happy that i made new frens x) and well, found out that certain people are like pigs!! x) i mean seriously like pigs: stupid and brainless and try to make themselves pretty pigs by colouring hair, faking smiles, but well, still just a pig nevertheless!

hmm, then! to all students out there, campus superstar 2 is coming! and a lot of ppl have been asking me to give some advice.. hmm.. so i shall share with all of you some of my opinions! x) to all those who might find this unread-able lolls please don’t read it x)

firstly, be honest with yourself and to the audience! do not act shy in front of reporters, act as friends in front of ppl you dislike, and be a hypocrite. be yourself and be truthful about yourself.

secondly, do not worry whether you can sing well, just give it a shot as it’s an enriching experience. however, if you are seriously a person who do not have the capabilities of singing, please do not use money to buy you fame. it's actually quite despicable lar, i should say. wad is the point of using ur own money to buy yourself all the way into the finals? the fact would still remain that you can’t sing when u’re in a singing competition. therefore, it links back to the point of being truthful to yourself. x) also, you will gain a lot of experience from the competition x)

although some people may find wad i'm describing quite familiar and such a person may have appeared in CSS1, hopefully this situation wouldn’t repeat in CSS2 x) enjoy the course of the competition and most importantly, be true to yourself and work hard in the competition as it is a tiresome journey, but wad you achieve at the very end is worth working for.

i realise i'm abit lag here. but was out for the whole day la so yea. the most significant thing today was that i was actually late for school. not literally but technically. long story. but nvm, let's just say in my entire school life, i've never been late for school before and this is the first in history: and i wasn't even really late. just didn't manage to squeeze past the crowd into the assembly area. that's all -.- which is stupid la. i do not like school -.- who does!

but! i only like school for one thing!! the life in school is a thrilling and exciting one. and therefore, another exciting event that our school is going to host is an upcoming charity concert!!

Project Superstar 2

another large chapter in singapore's music history has been set. PSS2 has been successfully completed and daren has emerged as overall champion! x) actually i don really have much of a preference for this year's PSS2 yup.

hmm to say the truth, i really liked diya's performance today! although her last song didn't whack people's hearts hard enough, i thot her overall effort today was very commendable! no matter wad she is gonna do next, i wish her all the best! x) jiayou senior! x)) [cos she was from hwachong mahs hahas]

as for daren, i thot he improved alot through the competition and i'm happy for him that he has managed to win x) and he also managed to sign a 2 year contract with Warner Music hahas. yup! so he can jiayou too!

the entire weekend was quite tiring lars.. cos went for roadshow on saturday. then today spent the morning studying for chemistry SPA and then went for rehearsals le. very fast.

however!! i'm super happy that i met up with fireflies again! yays to sijia, brian, chuxuan and lirong!! also very happy that had time to talk abit more with sheena! x) sheena if u're reading this.. you owe me a day to hang out arhh!! don forget you promised x) cheers!

quite sad that today couldn't walk the red carpet in the end cos me and teresa had to appear on the 7 o'clock news hahas. but it's okay! x) anyways, campus superstar 2 is coming up soon! jiayou to those who wanna join!!

feeling quite shag today, but quite excited lars! x) cos i'll be seeing fireflies and campus people today x)) yays!

yesterday went for 2 roadshows, one at northpoint and one at causeway point to promote for our drama, 'let it shine' as well as celebrating Chinese New Year hahas. thanks to everyone who came down to support me! really really touched that you all were there!

i actually quite enjoyed the guessing game x) hahas the one played at causeway point hee x))

hmm after that went out with my class and junior class.. not bad lars they quite fun hahas. now besides knowing jasmine, i noe daryl, jiehao, xinyi (junior), anna, and my angel who i still i dunno the name ha! x) and gosh the guys can really eat o_o

after that i had to rush down to indoor stadium for project superstar 2 final's rehearsals. gosh, its totally like a large scale concert x) i'm jealous hahas. nvm it's my dream to sing on that stage x)) hopefully can make it lors ahahs.. i've got alot of work to do then x)

dieee! tmr's chemistry SPA skill A exam! one try and double weighting.. gosh. so dead.. hopefully i dont screw up. have to like totally mug now before i go indoor stadium or else no time to study le! so i'll like go off now x)

i am in love with 'Let it Shine'
i dunno why. maybe it's because it's my first show that i'm acting in, or maybe cause the friendship forged in this production was just great or maybe it's purely because the show's just really really nice hahas. x) but in any case, i'm in love, in love with our new drama, 'let it shine' 2007 x))

i am in love with GeFang 歌坊
okays i've never felt this strongly committed to my CCA before la hahas. perhaps it's the motivation dat my juniors give me to strive harder, maybe it's because the strong friendship that keeps this CCA and its members together, or maybe it's just this year we're trying out something really new and working hard for a larger goal. in any case, i'm in love, in love with GeFang, a CCA that i really feel that i can contribute to x)

i am in love with singing
maybe this is something really random or really obvious in the first place. but, seriously, i never thought singing could bring me this far in my life. how would i know when i was young that the voice that was used to sing in the bathroom, in bed, in the car, everywhere could bring me this far, changing my life this much? Maybe it was a passion from the time i was born, or maybe this interest was aroused cos my dad also used to sing alot at home. in any case, i'm in love, in love with the one thing i would never give up: singing.

i feel blessed. having people around me who care, people around me that makes me feel alive. lots of times, i'll be like upset and brooding about loads of stuff, but there are my family, friends, and even you guys, my fans out there supporting me all the way. i'm grateful. maybe it's because of friends like you (eg. xinyi, koyin, liting, etc.) that make my day, or maybe it's because of fans like you (all of you guys out there) that change my life. in any case, all of you have made a difference in my life, and i thank you for that.

ever since the start of the school term till now i haven't really gotten much of any rest. and still.. due to my CCA working on a large scale concert (details should be out really soon) i'm busy day and night. plus the whole stash of work that i have to complete >.< gosh

not exactly lovesick.. but just missing all my good friends.. friends i used to hang out with like campus frens, one of my close frens who lives like the next condo to mine, my cousins, and also the fireflies! x( totally missing everyone. i need my life back and i really wanna just stop mugging >.< but wad to do? j2 ler.. of course alot of things to do..

for some reason, i messed up a friendship with another friend.. which i really don like.. and i'm really sorry for wadever i said. and i always seem to mess up stuff liddat.. hais. i'm a bad person yes i am. x( i'm really sorry >.<

i'm blogging before i continue to mug for econs x))

saturday
went to mediacorp for the auditions for the rain's management thing. lols. it was super lame cos we just went in, sang like 1 min and walked out. and we're done! x) hahas. so after that, me, khim, jeremy kwan and dawn went to bugis.. well, they went to like see daren and diya at the autograph session thingy la. i went to meet my junior. hahas.

so well, my junior (who has the same birthday as me o.o so qiao) went to meet his OG (orientation group) and i had nothing to do after the auditions, so i promised him to pei him go buy bag and bugis street la.. so yea. went shopping walk here walk there. and due to the PSS2 autograph session, alot of people who were at bugis recognised me hahas. thanks for the support though x) yup!

hmm after deciding on the bag that he wanted to buy, we went back into bugis junction. then his OG mates (other j1 juniors) decided to play some guess the clue thingy game.. so we went to sakae, they left a postcard with a picture of a microphone + picture of a key + the thing that cats chase.. so we're supposed to go like find the next place to go to.. -.- M:industries lar oh well.. then so we like went there. then got another clue to go YinYang.. den after that like went to bubble tea shop.. we finished the whole thing in like.. 15 min or smth o.o hahahas which was abit too fast la cos we were supposed to play long enuff till like 6.30 so they could all go eat steamboat hahas!

okays nvm =X after that.. went back to bugis street to buy his bag.. yea. (and he's happy that he can flaunt the bag like soon) gosh -.- hmm after that.. went to eat steamboat la.. den yea.. played really lame games and IQ games dat didn't really require much IQ.. yea.. dat's most of wad happened on sat bahs..

oh oh! and met adriano oso lols (again -.-) and he actually couldn't pay the taxi.. which was so paisehh. so called me to like SAVE him ahahas! so i like paid the cab fare for him and he returned the money to me laters. hahas. he asked my junior, u oso from hwachong arhh.. den he wanted to say 'why u so smart' den he accidentally said 'why u so handsome' WAHAHA make my junior so delusioned lols! oh wells. yea.. that's about adriano la hahahas!

mugging for econs test.. gosh -.- it's hard to mug.. and i'm still mugging hahas.

well.. took a break and went out to Queenstown with my junior again.. hmm he wanted to buy file, but in the end we jus hung out la.. i brought him to ikea for dinner lols he nv go eat the meatballs there b4. VERY NICE KAYS! hahas (i'm helping IKEA advertise i'm so great xP)

after that went to the shopping centre and i bought a pair of shoes wee!

overall, actually decided to go out with him cos he very sad la, cos he didn't go for SHE concert -.- hahas actually i oso wanted to go one lors.. jus that no tix =/ great. so jus hung out with him to ensure that he's fine la arhh? hahas.

ever felt like it's been the worse idea to be apologising to a person and the person will never reciprocate the apology? or feel how u're feeling or try to make things better?

ever felt like your teacher is deemed a very experienced teacher in school but no matter how the teacher teaches, you just do not understand what is being taught?

ever felt like everyone is paying attention to you and yet everyone is not?

i find this quote very deep. sometimes in life we crave for alot of other things. eg. for your crush to like you back, or for you to get great grades, or to be a singer, a lawyer, a doctor. Sometimes, these doctors, lawyers and singers have everything they ever dreamed of. but yet, they feel empty. and although i do not have anything, i am not short of anything. x)

it's a great quote to think about.

anyways, i think i'm a sensitive person. i guess if you wanna know me, i might be willing to open my heart to let you in. but i need you to take the initiative first. i hate cynicism, and people trying to be more than who they are. why can't people just be themselves instead of trying to be something they are not?

hms. year 2006 has been the most fruitful year of my life. to kick it off was the competition 'Campus Superstar' where i met 19 great new friends that shared the same passion for singing and our strong bond carried us through the 4 months of intense competition x) i love you guys and don't forget to continue to meet up soon kays! We're the first batch of Campus Superstars and we must not be forgotten =) thanks to teresa, renfred, geraldine, adriano, clara, yuyang, khim, yiyuan, yvonne, kenneth, meigui, yinwei, samuel, yangce, alejandro, sheena, shermaine, siewping, ziwen for making my life much better! also cannot forget the music clinic people that accompanied us through the course of the competition, also mus thank Fang Lao Shi and Peter Lao Shi! and of course the judges of the competition, Peter Lao Shi, Su Zhi Cheng, Feng Hui Shi, Li Fei Hui, Li Wei Song, Li Si Song.

from the competition, i realised the strong intense bond and support that family and friends provided me with - need to thank my parents, my cousin Rebecca and Betty especially for always being there! and even my friends that helped me managed alot of things in the competition - Ryan, Hongyi, Yingcheng, Yvonne, Wengwoh etc. (don kill me if i missed out ur names hahas)

more importantly was my class for the first 3 months. o6s6f! x) you guys are perfect. just very sad that we had to leave and lost quite alot of touch as i see it lols. but no matter wad, you guys made the first 3 months of JC life wonderful! 6F and 05s69 seniors -- the best classes i've ever met in my JC life so far x) and thanks for all the support you all gave me during the competition as well. i'll never forget it =) thanking 6F ppl, especially vivien, shenghui, liying, eunice, bobby, christopher, shiyang, cherngyo, zhangxin, yunlu, xiangfei, meisi, june, helen and the 69 seniors especially andrew, siqi, kailing etc.

of course, besides the class that spurred me on, i need to thank the teachers that changed my perspective of JC life. teachers like Ms Nicole Tay, Ms Nurul, Mr Ng - all who taught 06s6f x) and of course my form teacher of 06s6j the new class - Ms Lin Run'er and our econs teacher - Ms Melissa Tay, our former math teacher - Ms Tan Weiling, our current math teacher - Mrs Yap (for her intense support and faith in her students). Also need to thank all the teachers who have helped me in one way or another, especially people like Mr Pang (our discipline master), Mr Teo (Artemis A-Fac Head), Mr Ronnie Quek (Athena Fac Head), Mrs Chin (our Vice Principal) and of course Mr Ang (our principal). thanks for all the care and concern throughout the year 2006.

after 6F was the new class 6J, where i met new ppl, special ppl like xinyi, shermin, siewfun, jason and yongsheng. altho we had our major differences later in the year. hope 2007 brings us better friendship and closer bonds! ooo to xinyi: don kope my present kays!! give it back to me x)) wahahas! and of course, to my new class i also met my PW group: pangying, zhuojun, kahong and yongsheng (again) hee. and we worked through alot of tedious PW work together! thanks alot!

and of course there was the GeFang people that gave me a chance to pursue my passion in the midst of school life. Need to thank the active members of Gefang, especially Frederick, Yibing, Jingting for being wonderful ExCO members and of course other members such as Liting, Kiahui etc. and not forgetting our seniors, especially our chuang ban ren: Fengyi! x) you guys are just great! hope GeFang can climb to greater heights in 2007!

then in the middle of the year, went for Famine Camp and met two gorgeous charming ladies (wow i'm actually describing you gals as that! x)) qiuhong and diana and our in-camp very shuai papa Joshua ahhas. and we still hang out often x) woots! stay in touch kays! Famine camp is fun la hahahas x) yupps

afterwhich, would be people from the songwriting competition, meeting up with my old friend xianyong and of course thanking SAJC and HwaChong for organising such competitions yea! thank WeiSong lao shi again and also need to thank Touch Music - Especially Zhiwei and Wilson for helping me out with my music! i will continue to work hard x)

Last but not least at the end of the year was the 'Let it Shine' production where i met new friends that of course will change my life forever too! my first drama that i'm acting in (where i shall look extremely fat waha) with actors from Campus: Adriano, Alejandro, Khim, Teresa, Renfred and of course the new people! who we always hang out: brian, sijia, lirong, chuxuan, liyuan! x) together, we're the Fireflies!! hahas i think i came up with that name or smth LOL! hmm thank me kays guys! i'm the one who always jio u all out until we all so close der wahahaha! x) love ya! also must thank Felicia (Yoyo jiejie), Shaun Chen, Adam Chen, Xiangyun ahyi, Houren shushu, Huanghui jiejie and all the cast that i managed to work with! not to forget the production team, consisting of You Hong Jie, John, Guangrong Dao Yan, WenWen Dao Yan, LiWan Dao Yan, Jeraldine, Janet, Paulyn, Huiying, Olivia, MeiAn and so many more!! all of you are just great!! x)

to end off, i would also like to thank All the Fans that have changed my life, including close ones like the BT-ers, especially maggy, people like Fiona too. and so many more that i cannot continue to list.

All i have to say is, 2006 has been a GREAT ENJOYABLE year for me with ALL OF YOU in my life and i thank everyone for being a part of it! (if your names did not appear, i'm sorry okays! it does not mean that u're forgotten tho!! thank you still!)

Have you ever really liked someone, but realise that it's near impossible for you two to be together? Either because the other party already has someone he/she likes, or that your friends actually like the same person, or any other kinds of reasons.

Love is such a complicated thing. Sometimes, it comes at first sight -- the feeling you get that 'hey, he/she is the one for me.' and that u're willing to spend the rest of your life with this person. That's why people get married x)

Some other times, it grows as time passes -- like a friend that's close to you treats you well, maybe very well and instead of friendship, other feelings grow. That can even happen when u're a girl and she's a girl o.O but you realise that in the end it's most probably just an infatuation and you try hard to work it out, but it's difficult to.

Most of the time, it's when you think 'omg she's so hot' or 'omg he's so cute' or well, so many other quotes and these represent the crushes people get. wee~ this is my 100th post (okays i noe very noob) but hey! at least i have a nice number to celebrate about right x))

well, first things first, i wanna thank YongHua Ahyi for coming out with Campus Superstar so that i could participate and be part of this thingy la, and of course the whole crew of Campus, including Kerry jie and lyn jie and so many more, where this competition lead me thus far, being able to experience so many new things x)

next i wanna thank my frens in campus, especially sheena x)) for being such a great fren! and all the rest too!! not that u all weren't great frens kays!! =) and an update of the latest star awards! x) picture!!

and then, after campus, knowing the Artiste Management Unit of Mediacorp, wanna thank Amy Jie, Wendy, Jasmin, Aihua Jie, and so many more managers. Thanks for helping me this entire year!!

of course, have to thank Fang Zhong Hua lao shi for giving us so many other opportunities at so many other things!! x) too many too list! we all love you lao shi!! x)

morning was training our gefang members in preparation for next year to like get new J1s and our new concert thingy that's coming up very very soon x) so many things to do!! >.< hope i don die of stress hahas.

well, went out to novena square to collect some new clothes because fang lao shi brought me geraldine and renfred there x) thanks laoshi!!

after that went to bugis to meet the FIREFLIES of course but then chuxuan was like meeting her frens so she'd be like late, reaching at like 5.30. i reached there at like 4.45 or smth =.- i asked them to come at 5 la. den brian was like so siansian den oso come at 5.30. oh wells. at least i had 45 mins to do my homework and i completed my chemistry carboxylic acids tutorial x)) hahaha. so studious right? tsk myself hahahas.

well, then we left pastamania and went to like walkwalk talktalk emoemo and everything, met up with khim after that and sijia came after her band so yupp. oh oh and brian coincidentally met adriano there in bugis too!! x)) hahahas so well, before we 'disbanded' we played DARE in the cinema at bugis la. as in outside the cinema, sitting unglam-ly near the escalator. and as usual due to the presence of ME ahhahaha we had so many interesting things to do >.<>.< 3 kisses were done, 2 shouts were metted out, and 1 uber-silly-stretching-arms-and-leg-act was carried out x)

well, today was. hectic i guess. morning had to report to mediacorp to head down to st. james for rehearsals for tmr's star awards post show. yup.. well, spent the whole morning there till 2 and then went for lunch with adriano at vivo. hurhur he is so.. fidgety hahas. anyways. he better not forget that it's my birthday tmr x)) kidding!

wells, then we went over to orchard to get him a ear piercing on his 'triangle' that's wad they called that position =.- ooo very interesting right? i dun really think i'm ever gonna get a piercing tho x) oh wells. he's so hilarious la! after his piercing he went to hold his phone on his ear to talk then when he placed it there he suddenly WAAAAAA so loud, i thot the sound too loud =.= then realised the placed it on his left ear, where he jus did the piercing. haiyooooo. he's so. =.- hahahaha.

after that, went off to pasir ris downtown east for my cousin's chalet. his birthday's on the 12th of dec. but well.. it was boring. like way boring =.= i was almost gonna die and i'm so upset that i can't eat the strawberry cheesecake *sniffs

anyways, my birthday celebration shall be fun x)) i hope hahas. but it's not any time soon. have to be after all the filming and stuff. oh wells. but in any case, tmr's my birthday and i can't believe that i'm spending it WAITING in a place to perform arrrrghx!! this is so unfair. i'm so depressed now. we have to be there at like 1.45pm and we're like performing at 10pm la.. so wad. we wait 8 hours leH!! omg. =.= i mean. hais. dunno wad to say.

well, spent the entire wednesday at downtown east. x)) with brian, chuxuan, sijia, lirong and khim. i shall be nice and advertise for escape here and say that it's only $6 per entry at escape!! hahas.. however, the inverter is closed, so is revolution. which actually means there's not many other stuff that are fun anymore in escape =.=

oh anyways, played alot of stuff la, don really wanna write all bout it but the funniest thing was when we went into the haunted house thingy ahahs! i was like the bravest or smth. =.= i was like walkin in front and even brian was like so scared like hugging me or smth liaos hahahaha so funny. regardless to say, the girls were way more.. interesting hahas they were like *squished* into some weird ball or smth.. haiyoooooo hahas. anyway, we were saying that the angmohs that come in to escape, when they play stuff like the viking ship they're like smiling while sitting cos it's so no kick! hahahas.

well.. i love the fireflies x)) yeshh say you love me too! hahahas okays, u don have to. hahas. anyway, sijia was like suddenly emo-ing in the evening for i dunno wad apparent reason but well den i had to pangsehh brian =X to pei sijia hahas. hahas. how many posts have i uploaded that was about the fireflies o.o scary huh hahas. oh wells, it's fun lars anyway.

hmm firstly it's exceptionally delightful to note that the songs in the compilation album for the drama that we are singing are very nice xD well, really quite nice lars hahaha. yup. and i really like my duet with teresa x)

since i was at mcs recording song for the album, and the rest of the usual fireflies who will go out would be back from filming, we went for dinner again x) finally!! we went to a cheaper place (e.g. foodcourt) for dinner hahas. but we went back J8 and attracted alot of attention as usual.

sadly, we didn't really take any pics today, but well, at least it was fun becos i once again koped my senior's game lars. den we played at the open plaza in j8 again x) i'm very full now. (from drinking alot of water during the game) details of the game.. err.. hope the rest post lar, i'm jus lazy to write stuff bout it hahas x) i think i'm like the first to reach home xD yay!

due to my presence (hehe) the fireflies keep going out!! x) hurhur. so i went to 'tan4 ban1' today at 'school' actually cos i dont have classroom scenes so i went to go peek xD another reason of going was supposed to be for me to return them the neoprints hahas, but i so conveniently forgot to bring =X

lirong 'requested' me to help them buy drinks la, so i went bought like super lotsa drinks -.- hahahs.

den after filming we went to J8 for dinner xD i so didn't wanna eat more fast food but they jus dragged me to go so well, just tagged along hahas. that's so mahfun. so they went to eat KFC and we were there chatting about out near futures hahahs like whether they wanted to go JC or poly, study wad, wad aspirations, and how many kids we wanna have WAHA =D so funny

yay x) everyone's so fun hahas. spent the entire thursday with the student cast of 'Let it Shine'.

well, we spent our morning in bugis eating breakfast and playing in the arcade. hahas. we were also awe-ing at sijia's bro's ability to play V2 so well omg o.O (the drums thingy where u hit and hit) the played extreme la, den the difficulty lvl was like 91? and he could get like an A still. omgomg >.>

hahas. me and chuxuan were like playin puzzle fighter hahas x) so fun hehe.

well then we went to take NEO! waha!

hmm after that we headed down for filming and then it took soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long just to be happy and finish the scene =.= couldnt go east coast park in the end! SO DUMB.

so we headed to town and hahahas had some fun x) jus walk walk talk talk shop shop err. and stuff hahas. and we were gone hahas. spent the entire day from 10 to 10 ytd with them xD fun!

and i'm headed to find them like soon now hahaha =D cya guys!

xD go watch kays! it's SO ADORABLE omgomgomgomg i love the baby penguin! x) but then again, it's more of a family show yea =)) so yupp quite nice and worth watching. altho we all got 'chua dio' like twice in the show =D oh oh oh the animation is REALLY good

and the singing is really good
and the tapping is really good
i love little happy feet =D

Monday was fun xD mostly becos i finally could get to noe most of the gang acting in 'Let it Shine' our new drama, in chinese oso known as ying huo chong de meng.

oh monday we went to marina square, had dinner after we had filming. den went KBox too x))

but then only me, sijia, khim, liyuan, brian and chuxuan were around hahahas actually cos me brian liyuan and chuxuan had filming. the other 2 who had filming were adriano and alejandro la. but.. =.- evil boys pangseh frens hahaa! den i called sijia and khim to see whether they wanted to join us.

oh wells.

aha! and at KBox it was FUN la!! (especially since adriano and khim weren't around - lesser ppl hogging the mic hahhas!) me chuxuan sijia brian and liyuan went x) and since member's offer that night was 'challenger's night' we managed to get a 4 out of 5 discount xD yayy!

oh and guess wad =) everyone can sing! hahas. yupp.

can't wait for thursday =)) everyone's filming hahas and so we're like GOING OUT! yippee hahas
